What Holiday Hope PDX Has to Offer
Holiday Meals
Holiday Hop can help with food. Holiday Hope provides Gift Cards to Walmart for all our clients holiday shopping needs. This change was because of Covid and sine then we have had many clients love that Idea and want gift cards to Walmart so they can shop for their family. It not only lets the family shop for the foods that they like, but it is very important for clients that have food allergies. This is a safeguard to delivering a basked of food that might contain items that can cause a severe allergic reaction to a client. Holiday Hope received many requests to keep the gift cards instead of the baskets and in 2024 it became a permanent change to the holiday meals program.
Adopt A Family for the Holidays
This is a great opportunity for a church project or other groups and clubs. To be able to come together and adopt a family for the holidays. This would include their meal, toys, gifts. You would be able to have information about the family and their needs. Some have made lifelong friendships by Adopting a Family for the Holidays. The program was implemented in 2024 and is one that fills up very fast.
Toys for under the tree
Holiday has two programs for the toys. With the toys we receive from KGW, those go to a specified group that has requested help for that year. For the Individual families Holiday Hope can help with toys for those in need. We send Gift Cards to clients which allows them to purchase toys for their children. This is special for the simple reason it helps the families get into the holiday spirit! Brings families together and has a warm feeling for them in 2024 we received so many requests to keep this is a way for families to receive toys.
