Holiday Hope PDX is about helping those in need in our community
Helping those in need during the holiday season with food, toys and even emotional support. The holidays can become a very stressful time for those struggling just to put food on the table. Holiday Hope is a small non-profit with a powerful message – Quality over Quantity
Not everyone is in the same situation, but those that are down on their luck and have fallen on hard times are the same person they were when things were good! Just because you are struggling does not mean that you are bad. Holiday Hope PDX does not judge or make you feel ashamed for needing help!
Holiday Meals
Holiday Hope can help with food; Holiday Hope provides Gift Cards to local grocery stores! This change was because of Covid and since we have had many clients that love that Idea it not only lets the family shop for the foods that they like, but it is also very important for clients that have food allergies., This is a safeguard to delivering a basket of foot that might contain items that can cause a severe allergic reaction to a client. Holiday Hope received many requests to keep the gift cards instead of the baskets and in 2024 it became a permanent change to the holiday meals program.
Adopting a Family
This is a great opportunity for a church project or other business, groups or clubs to be able to come together and adopt a family for the holidays. This would include their meal, toys for the children and whatever else the adopter feels like giving. You would be able to have information about the family and their needs. Some have made lifelong friendships by Adopting a Family for the holidays. This is a heartwarming feeling for the holidays not only for the giver but for the recipient also. This Program is proving to be very successful for Holiday Hope.
Toys for Children
Holiday Hope can help with toys for those in need. We send Gift Cards to clients which allows them to purchase toys for their children. This is special for the simple reason it helps the families get into the holiday spirit. Brings the families together and has a warm feeling for them. In 2024 we received so many requests to keep this as a way for the families to receive toys. This helped with their mental status and gave them the feeling of great joy! It was such a relief of stress that can burden families. For the KGW toys we receive they go to certain groups that have put in requests for them each year.

A world where people come together to share what they have with those less fortunate. A World where people look out for each other with love.
Our Mission
Holidays and special occasions are meant to be joyful times for everyone, but for seniors on a fixed income who are raising their grandchildren, single parents, and those facing medical challenges, the spirit of these celebrations can often be missing. Eash your, Holiday Hope PDX aims to provide food toys and essential items to those who find themselves between the poverty line and middle class-individuals who do not qualify for assistance from other agencies.
